Our Anti-Flaking Policy is here to protect our customers and mitigate the detrimental affect that the practice of flaking has on our packages.
Nobody likes a Flake. They ruin plans, they make group activities harder and more expensive for everyone, and generally lack respect for other people.
We have no time for Flakes. None. We actively try to weed them all out during the application process and if any do manage to slip through the net,
please rest assured that we will not issue them a refund, in fact we charge them to cancel.
Why do we charge them to cancel?
The first reason is simple, we have an outlay every time someone books on.
An outlay in staff time, an outlay in booking fees & associated taxes, and an outlay in reputation.
If we say we’re bringing 120 people, it’s our reputation on the line if we come up short.
The second reason is personal.
For each person that was successfully offered a place on Thailand Takeover in 2023,
there was approximately 80 people that were turned down.
It’s out of respect for those 80 people, that would have loved to even had the chance to come,
that we charge a cancellation fee.
(Part of that fee pays for an extra rep to fast-track the re-opening of the space to other applicants.)
Our refund policy:
Simply put, there isn’t one. If you need to to reschedule your trip,
please email accounts@thailand-takeover.com
Outside of rescheduling, we do not refund flakes for any reason
(and we’ve heard all the excuses. From the most horrendous lies to the most entitled snobbery, one
thing we have learned is a Flake will do ANYTHING but take responsibility,
hold up their hands and say ‘I am sorry for wasting everyones time,
I understand there are consequences to my actions and
I accept the financial liability that I have brought upon myself in making the choice not to come.’)
What if I miss a payment?
We understand, sometimes you get paid late,
sometimes you overspend one month or have a big bill come in, we get it.
